The subforums mod finaly adds this much sought feature to UBBThreads.
Features:
- unlimited subforums levels
- breadcrumbs navigation
- indented display of the subforums in the jumpboxes and the search
All in all, nothing revolutionary, it "just" ads the subforums feature many other board software products out there already had to UBBThreads.
A few screenshots of the admin interface:
The forum manage screen:
The name of the parent forum is shown, and the forum keywords are indented to reflect the subforum structure.
The "create new forum" screen:
It allows you to choose either a category if you want to create a forum without a parent, or a parent forum.
You can purchase this mod here.

I'll add a note here about some questions I've had.
Yes, you can take existing forums and make them into subforums.... and you can take subforums and change them back into regular forums later. The data isn't altered, just the display structure.

Exactly. Also should you ever decide to update to any other board product at a later time, the subforums should have no effect whatsoever at the importing process, they will simply be imported as if they were "flat" in their categories.

Is this possible:
I want to ad a top forum; "Boy seek girl", with subforums like "Boy seek girl in Town 1", "Boy seek girl in Town 2", "Boy seek girl in Town 3" and so on.
When entering the top forum "Boy seek girl" I want to show the visitor all posts in the subforums as well as a scroll with a jump menu that mowev to the selected subforum.
This would make the forum/subforum-mod work like a filter.
Would this work?

It would require a small moficiation, but it should be possible.
Let me repeat if I got this right: You want the posts of the subforums of a forum to be displayed in the parent forum, but also in the subforums.
The post count and the post tracking of such a forum would be off though, since the forum would only display those posts, but the posts itself wouild still remain "owned" by the subforums.
So, display yes, but the new post tracking and post count in the parent forum wouldn't work as expected.

Is it possible to see if there are "New" posts in the subs? Maybe just an indicator on the parent if a post count is not possible.
Thank you and great job!!!

Yeah, post tracking or at the least an indicator would be GREAT!

Thats what I want. The parent forum would be more of a container for the subforums posts than an ordinary forum.
