Fellas,
It looks like myPaymentPal will be a great mod for an upcoming Threads based website I am working on. I do wish it supported more credit card (CC) processors.
I tried to "buy" a subscription in the Nickel Tour and finally gave up. Actually I have never liked PayPal from the consumer's perspective. It is just way too much hassel to buy something through it, IMHO.
When I went to buy the trial subscription tonight I was unable to complete the transaction because the only credit card I carry was "registered with another account on file". I do remember using PP a couple of years ago. Seems that I started an account a while back with PP and registered my only CC. Now I can't remember username/passord to use the old account. I tried the email lost password routine, but it looks like the account was started with an older email account that is no longer active.
In summary I cannot use my CC since it is registered with an older account which I cannor remember log-in info. I can't retrieve password info since the username (email address) is no longer a valid email account.
If you "Google" PayPal you will also find a large group of unhappy merchants that have some interesting stories about frozen acounts and chargebacks. Seems you give up most of your rights when you sign the PP agreement...
Anyway, I have been looking strongly at 2checkout.com Their checkout process is a breeze and they have a good reputation in the industry. Will this be an option in upcoming releases. if not is it doable as a custom programming job>

Eventually we would like to extend it to other payment methods. We have coded it somewhat modular in that respect.
JustDave and myself have talked about this, and he says probably nochex support will come next.
Not sure as to an exact ETA on that though.

We'll definately be adding in more payment options. I just finished additional legwork for the upcoming 1.1 release to make this easier for me in the future.
NoChex is next in line for 1.2 and I'll try and get one or two others added in for 1.2 as well. I'll look at 2checkout and see what it all involves.
