But you got an email from Paypal?
Check your IPN log and verify that the cancellation was initiated by PayPal, then
ask them the reason it was cancelled.

ok, this is intresting.
looking in there, there isn't a record of any of the cancellations i've been getting.
All i've got are the members i've manually added.

Check your configuration file.... maybe it's not on for IPNs?
Admin Area -> Edit Configuration File
Look for "Should we log all incoming payment notifications to the admin log? "

Ok, just took a look, when i go to select that drop down box all i get is a blank box, i cannot select yes or no as there is no option.

* Did anyone ever figure this out? It's been an off-and-on problem on my forum very similar to as described here.
* I've written to the members for whom I get cancelled notes, and some did cancel, but some didn't.
* My MPP log has a few listings that are obviously user cancels, but there are some "invalid" listings like this:
